Traditional Chinese Medicine
About Me
I offer a natural and holistic approach to traditional medicine that promotes healing and wellness through advanced practices and treatments. As healthcare practitioners, it is my responsibility to encourage and educate my patients to take care of their health.
I got my diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the school of Classical Natural Medicine (Schule für klassische Naturheilkunde), where I also completed an education in natural science (Western medicine). One of my most important experiences was a six-month stay in Sydney at the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where I gained a lot of practical experience with many different patients.
I am specialized in 5-Element-Acupuncture, which is suitable for the treatment of all common problems such as emotional stress (depression, burnouts), headaches, back pain, respiratory diseases, allergies and skin diseases, high blood pressure, overweight, gynaecological problems and much more. I lead my practice at my home - this allows me to build trust and personal relationships with my patients, which I consider to be extremely important for a successful treatment in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere.
I am an A-Member of TCM Association Switzerland (TCM Fachverband Schweiz). Thanks to the quality label of the EMR (Erfahrungsmedizinisches Register), my practice is recognized by most health insurances.
Treatments
The individualized treatment is carefully designed to relieve pain and help you live a happier, more comfortable life. I focus on the patient’s body's structure, physiological systems, diet and nutrition, and the emotional and psychological state.
Acupuncture is a treatment that uses very fine needles to stimulate specific points of the body to regulate and maintain the flow of energy. The needles are retained for between 20 and 30 minutes.
Acupuncture is a fundamentally energetic medicine. Using acupuncture points located on energy pathways, called meridians, balance of the Qi (energy or life force) flow is restored. Qi regulates spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical imbalances and is influenced by the opposing forces of yin (negative energy) and yang (positive energy).
Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture is seen as a small model of the universe. The natural laws which govern the changes in weather, the seasons and the movement of planets represent the human body and its journey through life. All things are connected. In Chinese Medicine parts are not just fragments of the whole but are complete in themselves.
Chinese Medicine understands that the body and mind are inseparable, each influencing and shaping each other. Every thought and feeling has its physical manifestation just as experiences of the body influence our mental and emotional life. As the body and mind are connected to each other so too are the body and mind in turn connected to the environment.
Acupuncture addresses the mental, the physical, emotional and environmental aspects expressed in the individual. Looking beyond the signs and symptoms, the root of the imbalance is addressed, allowing for a more integrated approach.
Along with acupuncture, lifestyle & dietary advice, massage, cupping and moxabustion are used to create a bespoke treatment for the individual.
Acupuncture forms the basis of the treatment. It is supplemented with
